Quickstart
Image Optimizer is a single HTTP endpoint, /img/<source-url>, that fetches a public image and returns an optimized version. There is no upload step and no SDK — every transform is a query parameter.
Base URL
https://image-optimizer-two.vercel.appYour first request
Take any public image URL, strip the protocol, and append it after /img/. Add query parameters for the transforms you want.
curl -o out.webp "https://image-optimizer-two.vercel.app/img/raw.githubusercontent.com/github/explore/main/topics/nodejs/nodejs.png?f=webp&q=70&w=400"This fetches https://raw.githubusercontent.com/github/explore/main/topics/nodejs/nodejs.png, converts it to WebP, resizes it to 400px wide, and sets quality to 70.
Try it without writing code
The playground builds this URL for you — pick a sample image (or paste your own), adjust the controls, and copy the resulting URL.
Next steps
- Authentication — how to add an API key.
- Parameters — every query parameter the API accepts.
- Errors — the response shape when a request fails.
